i hopped my ass onto a train and rode halfway accross the country for 2.5 days....
...that was quite a journey. i think i was passing through the sierras at this point, but i had to conserve my phone battery for the rest of the trip so i didnt take any other pictures....besides, the lens on this crappy little phone didnt do the landscapes any kind of justice....the colorado rockies were awesome, the utah salt flats were AMAZING.....and the midwest corn fields were so endless that i thought i was stuck in some sort of corn hypercube......
....all in all, the trip was a very eye opening glimpse into my person. and, it was an endurance challenge: everyone on the train got sick, all of the toilets plugged up so the whole lower galley smelled like poop, and no showering for almost 3 days, sweating and gristly.
but i got great ideas for stories and i saw beautiful american landscapes that have inspired many great artists for centuries, at minimum.
